My name is Susan Horowitz. I am an ELL teacher living in Ewing, NJ. I have just married my partner of 11 years and I have two boys , ages 24 and 26. I have 40 years of teaching experience, first as a high school Spanish teacher and then as a K-12 ESL instructor. I have taught Japanese students remotely for many years and look forward to teaching your child!
My name is Yuka Higashide and I live in Hawaii with my three dogs and a rabbit. I used to be a translator for Japanese national crime victims and an official interpreter at a local Police Department. I could NOT speak English at all until I came to the states where I graduated from university majoring in criminology and criminal justice.
I learned English at an ESL school. I understand how you feel when you speak English; it is perfectly fine to make mistakes! Why? Because you can learn from it. If you do not speak, you will never learn! You will have lots of opportunities to speak English in my class. Let’s have fun and never worry about making a mistake.
My name is Suzuna Ikeda. I am a soprano singer and currently doing a master’s degree at a music conservatory in Manhattan, NY. I am originally from Nagasaki and have two adorable dogs with my family in Japan. It is my pleasure to help you improve your communication skills in English with my experience at ESL in NYC. Besides, I can also help you to get closer to American pronunciation with my musical experiences. There are no worries about my class and your English. I will always be open to answering questions and respect your feature in my class!
That way, you will spontaneously become more confident! I am looking forward to seeing you soon!
My name is Chiaki and I am currently living in Los Angeles, California with my family. But I grew up in Kyushu, Japan. I am a mother of four children and I have two cats. I absolutely love cats! In my spare time, I enjoy doing ballet, crafting, and spending time with my kids here in California!
I have one year of teaching experience with the Learning Experience and I really enjoy teaching English to my students, especially younger students. My lessons will be fun as I can provide a lot of fun activities. We will sing a lot, read many books together, and sometimes do crafts. I am also very welcome to teach students what they want to learn!
My goal is to teach students how to communicate in English and have a conversation naturally with their English skills. Though I am able to support the students in Japanese, I really encourage them to speak in English as much as they can. I hope my experiences can help my students grow.
I love getting to know my students very well. I am happy to be teaching and I can’t wait to meet you all!
I was born and raised in Osaka, Japan. I came to the USA in 1998 and now live in California.
I am happily married and have two children, which are twins. Also, I was teaching Japanese to English speaking children here in the USA. I love teaching because it gives me joy to meet young people and help them learn.
In my class, I want the students to enjoy the English language while becoming a confident English speaker. Let us learn together and focus on your goals.
